What is Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing?
Rehabilitation involves therapeutic care for persons requiring intensive physical,
occupational, or speech therapy at an appropriate pace. This care is usually needed after a hospital stay and ranges in the amount it is needed. This care is provided for residents as well as short term stay and then returning home.
Skilled nursing care is health care given when a person needs skilled nursing staff (Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to manage, observe, and evaluate care. Skilled nursing care requires the involvement of skilled nursing staff in order to be given safely and effectively. Wesleyan Village resident’s also enjoy the social and emotional support through community and volunteer interaction that offers exposure to people of all ages and different experiences.
